Marcos Cabanas to Release “Live in New York City” EP Ahead of Sophomore Album

Swiss singer-songwriter Marcos Cabanas will release Live in New York City on June 3rd, a six-track EP recorded on February 26th 2026 at Berlin Under A in New York City’s East Village, during the second night of his first headline U.S. East Coast tour. This release and the tour form the opening chapter in the promotion of his upcoming sophomore album, which features members of Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band.

Live in New York City offers a short glimpse into Cabanas’ ecstatic, high-energy club concerts. Clocking in at just under 35 minutes, it features six songs drawn from a two-hour concert: The upcoming album’s three singles (Racing With Rosie, Life’s A Party, The Prodigal Son’s Return), and two tracks from his debut album (God’s Good Humor, Dead Man Alive). The EP also includes a new song (Puchi Broke His Nose), written two days prior to the show and performed live for the first time that night.

Joining Cabanas onstage were Nick Nella (bass), Michael Santa Cruz (drums), and Olivia Vricella (backing vocals), with Cabanas on lead vocals, electric guitar, and live looping. New York percussionist and E Street Band member Anthony Almonte was also in attendance.

The EP will be available on all major streaming platforms, as well as in limited-edition vinyl and CD formats, and will be accompanied by a tour vlog-documentary featuring behind-the-scenes footage and live extracts from the run.

Live in New York City marks Cabanas’ first long-form live-audio release and offers a preview of the sound and intensity behind his forthcoming studio album, slated for release later this year.

Marcos Cabanas began performing at age 12 in his hometown of Rolle, Switzerland. By 15, he was headlining major Swiss festivals (Caribana, Gilly Pop-Rock) while sharing bills with MIKA, Marilyn Manson, John Newman, and Gérald De Palmas. With his first band, he built a reputation as a commanding, relentless frontman, performing multiple times at Geneva’s Théâtre du Léman. In 2014, he was awarded the Mérite Rollois for his regional contributions to music. By 2016, he had taken that intensity across Europe, playing over 200 shows across Switzerland, Spain, France and The Netherlands, and in 2017 headlined a sold-out 500-capacity theater in Madrid.

Between 2017 and 2020, Cabanas released three EPs, followed by his debut album in 2024. Despite these releases, his reputation has been built first and foremost onstage. Since 2023, he has brought his explosive live show to the United States, building a growing East Coast following and culminating in a 2026 run of shows – a rare feat for an independent Swiss artist. He has also appeared alongside Grammy-winning artist Lyle Lovett and members of Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band, with whom he is currently working on his forthcoming second studio album.
